Eclectic Cabaret #8: 14th September 2018 (Nova Kicks (unplugged), WolfNote, Strawberry Thieves, and Tom Griffin)

Nova Kicks (unplugged)

Nova Kicks

Nova Kicks, Oxford based rock band with a selection of original catchy songs from their fantastic album Maps blended with a mix of popular covers from the Stones to the Stereophonics.

WolfNote are an acoustic  folk and roots quintet from Berkshire comprising  multi-instrumentalist Mike with his gammy leg, violinist and voca

list Ceri with her dodgy back, Gill on guitar, vocals and dulcimer, also falling to bits, and cellist and vocalist Bex, a crazy cat lady. Sacha Mayhew percussionist has recently joined the band.

They use rich string and vocal harmonies to create a stunning sound.  Despite looking inexplicably cross on stage people seem to like them. They have won The Graham Steel showcase artist award and have featured on BBC radio and at Henley Festival with BBC Introducing. WolfNote would just like to say that they are not sisters and Mike is not their dad.

Strawberry Thieves

Strawberry Thieves are a folk duo specializing in traditional songs from the British Isles. They have an EP on the way.

See them on YouTube before you see them with us at the Eclectic Cabaret!
